Tony Puri

Tony graduated from Christ Church, Oxford in 1985 and started a career in investment banking becoming a director of Credit Suisse in 1992 and subsequently held Managing Director positions at Depfa Bank, Kleinwort Benson and Credit Suisse advising some of the world’s top multinationals, state-owned companies and private equity firms across a range of industry sectors in international capital markets, derivatives and structured finance.

He also led the Ultra High Net Worth clients team at Credit Suisse Private Bank where he was a member of the bank’s Management Committee. He became the CEO of Repton International Schools Limited (RISL) in 2014 and served on the boards of all Repton’s overseas schools.

Tony energetically spearheaded RISL’s expansion into new territories, prolifically establishing school projects in the Middle East, China, Malaysia, Singapore, India, Egypt and Bulgaria. He established Minerva so he could work with the very best school brands and developed a unique business model aligning each party’s strengths in a common purpose to enable the delivery of the best possible international education.

His unique approach encompasses a full range of services from transaction origination and partner selection through to market entry, teacher training, marketing and recruitment. His ambition is to help outstanding school brands fulfill their ambitions in the international sphere and provide life-changing opportunities to children of all backgrounds.

He puts most of this success down to the outstanding professionalism and loyalty of his team and believes that great people working together make great businesses.
